2004 PLF Book Club
Principles of the PLF Book Club

Purpose: To continue the thrust for of knowledge in all aspects of African-American life. Providing our members with the information needed to gain a thorough knowledge of oneness, and respect, of our culture, heritage and accomplishments of the African and African-American people in all walks of life.

Book club members will come together to chat, listen, reflect, renew, shout, and yes, eat! Members will have the opportunity to discuss books in a friendly forum, while broadening our literary knowledge and being introduced to books/authors we may or may not normally be exposed to.

Giving: Members are encouraged to enjoy themselves and others in the group. Feel free to openly express your feeling, honestly. You may express yourself in both written and in spoken words. No one professes to be an expert "literary critic"; we are all learning, as we are enjoying the entertainment of literary art.

Your Gift: You will receive a wealth of literary information, network with other book clubs, meet fascinating African American authors, attend literary events and create friendships with other African American from various backgrounds. The bonding and literary lessons will be of valuable to you in the years to come.
