Operation P.R.I.D.E.
(Purpose, Respect, Integrity, Determination, Enthusiasm)

Overview: In 1991, it was perceived by Dr. James that students in the upstate of South Carolina educational and cultural needs were not being fulfilled, especially in the areas surrounding Clemson, South Carolina, based on his research, finding and with the help of his Kyle, Operation Pride was founded. Motivation techniques and strategies are developed and implemented to assist these individuals with their personal growth, in hopes of enhances their career and life goals.

Mission: Develop ideal characteristics and values in males, especially African-American males that will enhance self esteem and promote productivity.

Objectives

  • Learn to serve and contribute in the public community
  • Build and retain self-esteem to peak levels in each participant
  • Develop self discipline and respect for self and others
  • Develop and understanding of Kwanzaa and its relationship to P.R.I.D.E.
